as you know, sometimes I will post charitable links for causes I deem worthy, and this is one such occassion. A friend of mine who is a tour manager (Danny Vance), has a friend, who is about to go into a kidney transplant in the states and pretty much needs everyone’s help for the recovery.
Now I choose carefully what I post on here, and I outright flatly deny those of you who ask me to promote your pages or bands (if I’m not into them), because this blog is NOT an advertising board. But things like this are worth some time and whatever you can donate. I’ve just sent over $10, I’m not flush at the moment, but I can spare that in these situations. I’ve also donated my coffee money today (£3.50) to the poppy appeal so I can wear my poppy with pride (not much to sacrifice when you consider what others sacrifice/d in the name of freedoms). I’m not saying these things for any sort of recognition, but I like to alert people that charity does begin at home, and helping out others is no bad thing. It’s been kinda disgraced in many circles when we see people giving for personal gains, but this is a situation where I know one of my friends is requiring the help of everyone he knows (to help out someone in need). Danny’s a great guy and I trust his judgement on other people, so in this case I’d ask everyone to help out where they can, even if it’s just a reblog.
